Beacon Hall hosts school fund raiser for Namibia cultural trip - 12th Aug '11 E-mail

A local faith school set up shop in Peasedown recently to raise funds and awareness of pupil learning on school trips - in this case to Namibia.

On hand with her usual following was Madeleine Dury, whose hand made jewellery travels with her to many such local events.

Madeleine said:

'I love supporting these events, especially if our young people benefit, and it's a win win situation for me obviously! My Swarovski crystals really make the difference and the wedding business always helps to boost sales.'

Cllr Sarah Bevan added:

'I'm pleased one of our local secondary schools is using our facility here in Peasedown - there is ample parking and the Beacon Hall is easy to find from the A367. Our young people will benefit so much if there's enough money raised to send them overseas to such a contrasting culture.'
