![]() Nearly 20 people from Peasedown and surrounding areas enjoyed a spicy new start to the year at a local Indian restaurant club in Peasedown St John.
The set menu went down a treat, and local councillor Sarah Bevan, who started the club, was delighted at the high turnout.
She said:
'Saj and Raj Ahmed were extremely welcoming when I first talked the idea through with them - we had a lovely evening, and I chose a quiet night for the restaurant to help boost this valuable local business. The club will continue to meet here on the first Monday of every month. Everyone is welcome to come along and talk about anything that is exercising their brain on the night!'
The threefold aims of the club are to support a local business, to meet Prospective MP Gail Coleshill and to create new friendships and contacts for local residents.
Cllr Bevan added:
'It's a very convenient way to meet new and old friends, so I hope we'll see lots of new members in the coming months'.
