Councillors' campaign for cleaner village - 29th Nov '09 E-mail

Thanks to Peasedown Councillors Sarah Bevan and Nathan Hartley, three new litter bins have been installed in the village. The locations were chosen following negotiations with residents.

Sarah said:

"It's really important that we all do our best to keep Peasedown clean. Hopefully these new litter bins will encourage people to dispose of their litter and take more pride in the environment."

The three new litter bins can be found in Orchard Way, outside the Red Post Inn, and Underknoll.

Nathan added:

"These new litter bins should also help in tackling the dumping of dog excrement at the side of the road. As long as dog excrement is placed in a secure plastic bag it can be thrown into any litter bin."
