THE ORGANISERS of Peasedown’s biggest summer event are looking for volunteers.
Party in the Park, which will take place in Beacon Field, on Saturday 18th July, is expected to attract hundreds of people. To ensure the day runs smoothly and that all visitors have as much fun as possible event organisers are seeking the help of individuals to act as stewards. Chair of the Party in the Park Management Committee, Cllr Nathan Hartley, said this would be a great opportunity for students and other young adults to gain some volunteering experience over the Summer: “Due to the size of the event, the role of a steward is extremely important. It will include ensuring that the venue is kept clean and litter free, and that the police and medical team are kept informed and updated of any incidents.” All stewards need to be aged 18 and over and will be provided with a high-viz jacket to wear. Shifts through the event will run from 11am-8pm. Full briefings and details will be given to anyone interested in taking part.
