An Inconvenient Truth… comes to Peasedown St John - 13th Feb '09 E-mail

A FREE FILM NIGHT is being offered to residents living in the Peasedown area to raise awareness of the affects of climate change and global warming.

The new Peasedown Area Transition group, which was set up last year to encourage people to adopt more sustainable lifestyles, will be showing the Oscar Award winning movie - An Inconvenient Truth.

The film, which shows what will happen to the planet if it continues to heat up, was written and presented by former U.S. Vice-President Al Gore.

The film night is being held at the Prince of Wales Inn, Dunkerton Hill, on Tuesday 24th February from 7.30pm.

In response to the recent adverse weather conditions, the film with be followed by a short discussion about how we should be prepared for similar events in the future.

The Prince of Wales will be serving food from 6pm, as part of a special ‘all you can eat for £10’ offer.
