At 12.00 midday on Friday 19th September history will be made in our local area with the formal laying of the final brick in the last construction stages of this new medical facility. The Bath Business Park at Peasedown St John is the site of this cutting edge addition to health care locally.
Designed by renowned architects Normal Foster and Associates who have built a garden area into the open areas above ground, Circle Hospitals will manage the facility and have a growing reputation nationally for modern day medical care.
Local residents in Peasedown are already queuing up to put their names down for employment at the hospital, with many stating that they would prefer to use their professional expertise locally, and free themselves from the ever worsening traffic jams and general commuter chaos into Bath and Bristol.
Local consultant eye specialists among many others with specialist medical knowledge have been overseeing the technical equipment planned, with a recent tour for interested parties revealing a state of the art level of the building dedicated to the latest Magnetic Resonance Imaging and X-ray technology.
Taylor Woodrow's Board Director Brendan Morahan and Dr Ali Parsa of Health Properties Ltd, just two of the other companies working together to create the clinic, will perform the topping out ceremony when they lay the final piece of the roof material on Friday.
The facility is due to start receiving patients in Autumn 2009.
