| New street sign... at last! |

After months with a broken and battered street sign, residents of Wellow Tyning, Peasedown St John, finally have a brand-spanking new one. Earlier in the year local residents contacted Liberal Democrat campaigner Nathan Hartley about the sign.
Peasedown Lib Dem candidates, Nathan Hartley and Sarah Bevan, next to the new street sign.
Nathan said: “I was contacted by a number of residents about the road’s street sign which had been broken. The exact cause of this was unknown but the other half of the sign was found lying in a near-by field. Just as a local resident was preparing to hammer the two halves together he received one of my street letters informing him about the new sign I had ordered.” Unfortunately the wait for the new sign was longer than expected, but residents are now happy that Wellow Tying is now fully ‘displayed’ once again. Cllr Sarah Bevan, who has had recent success arranging a new street sign for Eckweek Road said: “It is so important that the appearance of our community is kept to a high standard. As well as full and in-tact street signs we need to make sure that our roads are clean, hedges are cut and litter bins are emptied. Peasedown residents should expect nothing else. I am so pleased that Wellow Tyning residents have this new street sign. It really does look good.”
