So, what have the Lib Dems done for Peasedown? |

Liberal Democrats have been active in Peasedown St John for many years.
Here are just a few of our achievements;

Lib Dem councillors, Sarah and Gail campaigned for and got the maximum number of places at PSJ Primary school in 2003.

Sarah and Gail obtained further funding for the makeover of the path at the rear of the Primary School.

Sarah and Gail worked with local police Chief Inspector to help secure funding for two new Community Support Officers for the village.

Worked with refuse officers to create a new comprehensive cleaning rota for our village.

Lib Dem Nathan Hartley has lead a successful campaign to make Peasedown a graffiti free zone.

Installed new litter bins and ‘No Dog Mess’ signs around the village.

Sarah managed to get a new pedestrian crossing on the by-pass.

Requested and got funding for a BMX track.

Requested and got funding for traffic development changes on the Bath Road.

Lib Dems Sarah, Nathan and Gail were all extremely active with the consultation and development stages of Beacon Field.

After months of abandonment Lib Dems forced the developer to finish the development of Eckweek Lane play park.

Sarah Bevan is a trustee on the Ring-&-Ride committee which brought this popular service to Peasedown.

Lib Dems have been extremely active within the Commuity Safety Action Group.

Lib Dems Gail and Nathan are part of the Parish Plan steering group which seeks to develop an action plan as to how the village should develop over the next decade.

Arranged for a new traffic sign to the rear of the Co-op to be put up instructing lorry drivers to turn left.

Secured new street lighting for Eckweek Gardens, to be installed in a few months.

Got new crossing points along Orchard Way.

Worked with Carlingcott residents with reference to the Mill footpath public enquiry.

Sarah got ‘Slow’ signs put up in Old Forge Way.

Got Underknoll emergency funding for planning and maintenance.

‘Safe Route to School’ – planned and in place.

Two benches moved for safety and well being of residents – Bath Road and Beacon Field.

Sarah worked with Greenview Farm over a huge planning application.

Sarah managed to get Bloomfield Terrace planning application overturned.

Lib Dems have got new street signs put up in Eckweek Rd and Wellow Tyning.

Nathan arranged and lead an environmental clean-up day.

Sarah arranged for a new path to be built for safety of residents using Eckweek Rd.

Sarah campaigned with residents to try and prevent a 3rd convenience store being built in the village.

Sarah, Nathan and Gail have all helped hundreds of residents with various pieces of ward work and planning applications.

Sarah worked with the owner of Diamond Mine Video to get the building knocked down.

Sarah protested against 13 new homes being built in Sunset Close. The campaign was a success and the homes won't be built.
